Williamson’s is a family-owned fruit and vegetable wholesaler that has been supplying top quality, locally grown produce for more than 75 years.
Based at Hunsdale Farm, Ellerker, the company was first established in the East Yorkshire village of Welton in the 1940s by Stan Williamson, the uncle of current Managing Director, Albert.
The Williamson’s name soon became synonymous with outstanding quality as the company built a network of suppliers across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire renowned for growing the finest seasonal vegetables.
To this day, Williamson’s still sources potatoes, greens, tomatoes and cucumbers all within a 50 miles radius, enabling them to supply their loyal customer base of restaurants, hotels, pubs, cafes, shops and catering businesses with the freshest produce.
But despite being more than 75 years old, the business has not stood still. As tastes of have developed, Williamson’s has adapted to meet the changing demands of the British consumer. Alongside traditional British favourites, customers will now find a wide range of exotic fruits and vegetables, as well as freshly cut flowers.
Williamson’s prides itself on providing first class produce with first class service, whether that is delivering to local business via its fleet of four lorries and two vans, or serving individual customers who drop in at their warehouse.
